Pink is the Colour!

Studies of 1.1 billion-year old rocks from beneath the Sahara desert have revealed evidence for the first pigment (https://www.theguardian.com/science/2018/jul/09/scientists-discover-worlds-oldest-colour-bright-pink-sahara). It is bright pink and is presumed to be generated by photosynthetic cyanobacteria.
