I have not seen many fungi in urban areas of Oahu. After heavy rain, this may be an immature Lepiota naucina mushroom.

Sandwich Island Saga 66. Recycling
Recycling seems as confusing in Hawaii as it is in the UK. Some folk here appear to have zero idea about what can be used again. One thing is evident, however, namely that most waste here is incinerated to make electricity, releasing 'greenhouse gases'. The blue containers are collected once a week but general waste twice as frequently.
