Seeing the Changes 468

In Bynea, Ash (Fraxinus excelsior) was in flower. Seven spot ladybird (Coccinella 7-punctata) were active on vegetation and a Small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) came out of hibernation to bask.

Have yet to see a Tortoiseshell over in these parts ...

But I see you have the Ladybirds! Sounds like your friend has seen a Tortoise beetle.

Further flowers in Bynea. Pineapple mayweed ( Chamomilla suaveolens ) and feral Cultivated apple ( Malus domestica ) put in appearances.
