Seeing the Changes 1201

More flowerings in Loughor with the first Rosebay willowherb (Epilobium angustifolium) and Nipplewort (Lapsana communis).

In the Heat of the NIght

Put the moth trap out in Loughor. Captures included the Light emerald (Campaea margaritata); the Riband wave (Idaea aversata); Square spotted clay (Xestia rhomboidea) and Buff arches (Habrosyne pyritoides). Worryingly, there were also masses of tiny, black beetles.

Seeing the Changes 1196

Lots of changes with more fungi in Loughor. In Bynea, Ragged robin (Lychnis flos-cuculi) and Marsh willowherb (Epilobium palustre) were in bloom. What looked like an Oak eggar (Lasiocampa quercus) larva jay-walked on the cycle track there and a Small skipper (Thymelicus flavus) flitted.
