Winging It!

It's odd the things you run across (literally)! Whilst jogging along the cycle track running along Swansea Bay, I found the above neatly removed pair of wings. Looks as if a Carrion crow has picked a pigeon clean.

This looks familiar. I'm sure I've seen this kind of thing on a New Zealand beach - crabs the scavengers I'd guess.
There is a quartet of birdie posts over at mine at the moment, if you're interested...

Crabs would be a bit far from the location in my case but interesting to see how little attention that the wings get on bird carcasses. They are mainly feathers, bones and sinew.
