The Herring gull (Larus argentatus) are still successfully nesting behind the old pieces of furniture near the car park.

I have been impatient. The House martin (Delichon urbica) arrived late and in reduced numbers but have, thus far, constructed 5 nests under the eaves of the Sports Pavillion. They have reportedly 'raided' a pile of top soil dressing and the sand pits for nesting materials. It might be helpful to put down soil near water for them.
