Owl Delivery

It seems that one of the now essential accessories for some celebrity weddings is an owl; a la Harry Potter (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2287931.ece). Footballer, Wes Brown, is apparently 'hiring' Ollie the Barn owl to fly the wedding rings to his best man at the ceremony in Peckforton castle in Cheshire (http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/mar/03/owls-weddings). Ollie will work for a dead rat but I suspect his handler would appreciate actual cash. As an optional extra, guests can be met by a Golden eagle at the door. I suppose that this increases the viability of maintaining raptors but it does seem a bit naff.

Do the owls 'mind' doing these kind of tricks, I wonder?

Owls will do anything for a dead rat or a day old chick. Cheesy is the word!
