A UN report has apparently 'revealed' the blindingly obvious (to most people, anyhow) fact that humans are damaging the environment faster than it can recover (www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/may/19/humans-damaging-the-environment-faster-than-it-can-recover-report-finds). I suppose that the fact that the UN says it might convince a few more folk that we humans are causing planetary problems but I won't hold my breath (although that might help-a little).
This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. The material should help participants in field-based modules and people generally interested in the natural world. The views are wholly those of the author.
