Squirrelling It Away!

A study with positioned recorders  around Reading has shown that Grey squirrels 'steal' more than half the food left in bird feeders (https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/may/10/daylight-robbery-grey-squirrels-stealing-millions-of-pounds-of-bird-seed-a-year). Of course, it is a bit unfair to accuse the rodent of stealing as they have no concept of ownership and that to take things where they can find them. These rodents not only take the food but their activity on feeders causes birds to avoid these devices (even when the squirrel is absent).
