Plants We Used to Use 18. Himalayan balsam

Himalayan balsam (aka Policeman’s helmet or Poor man’s orchid) (Impatiens glandulifera) is alien to the UK. It has been used, herbally, to sooth poison ivy stings and its seeds used to make bread and 'coffee'.
