A Law Onto Themselves?

There is currently a disturbing UK trend for some conspiracy theorists to invent their own 'laws' (https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/feb/12/ministers-accused-of-fuelling-conspiracy-theorists-bogus-common-law-ideas). Ancient (e.g. sections of the Magna Carta) or made up (e.g. based on an actually non-existent UK 'constitution') laws are frequently cited. Fake legal 'writs' have been issued against hospitals, schools and other institutions. People are also paying to be 'trained' by unmandated groups to become 'common law constables'. Such individuals have no powers. Although 'the law can be an ass', rules only work if they a) are generally agreed; b) apply to everyone and c) are not deliberately undermined by politicians or sections of a biased media. It seems that, so far as some people are concerned, there are now 'alternative laws' as well as 'alternative truths'.
