My Garden Birdwatch

Completed my 2025 Annual Garden birdwatch for the RSPB today. Around 20 Black-headed gulls flew over the garden in the hour. Spotted Blackbirds (4), Blue tits (2), Dunnock (4), Robin (1), Starling (10) and Wood pigeon (2). House sparrows (22) were, by far, the most common garden bird. I hardly need a survey to tell me that the species diversity and numbers have crashed in recent years.
