Verging on the Sensible

I am very enthusiastic about the relatively new tradition of reducing the cutting of vegetation by the sides of motorways and other roads in order to encourage flowers and their associated insects (https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/mar/14/on-the-verge-a-quiet-roadside-revolution-is-boosting-wildflowers-aoe). I, naturally, much prefer native wild flowers to be favoured in these very extensive tracts of land, rather than the sections being seeded with garden favourites, which is the modus operandi in some places.
