Satellites Keep Falling on My Head?

Cornwall makes good business out of its associations with surfing, art, cream teas and pasties. There's now great excitement that the long-mooted Spaceport Cornwall seems to be coming into being (https://www.theguardian.com/science/2022/oct/12/its-really-happening-tears-of-joy-as-space-mission-nears-cornwall-launch). The Spaceport is located near Newquay, a prime surfing location. Virgin orbit have flown a converted Boeing 747 to the small airfield. The Boeing is adapted to carry a small rocket, intended to fire 7 satellites into space. In the gushing enthusiasm for Virgin orbit, nobody seems to mention the 'greenhouse gas' release, the sound/light pollution and the possibility of falling debris. It seems like a desecration of a beautiful part of SW England.
