This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. Don't Worry About the Rain When in Spain
The Spanish government are likely to be fined for allowing Madrid and Barcelona to repeatedly exceed EU atmospheric nitrogen dioxide levels (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/dec/22/spain-allowed-no2-levels-to-exceed-limits-in-madrid-and-barcelona-eu-court-rules). Nitrogen dioxide is an emission from vehicular exhausts and some industrial processes. This gas causes severe health problems in humans (and many people are exposed in these Spanish areas). Politicians are often only too willing ignore these requirements, rather than take on vested interests.
