Lone Wolf

There is a sad story of a young, tagged female wolf (OR-54) who spent 2 years, walking circa 13 miles per day, in search of a mate (https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/feb/09/wolf-california-oregon-scientists-endangered-species). She roamed from her family (sometimes returning), deep into California and even popped into Nevada but all without success. The wolf was found dead at a comparatively early age. It just shows the power of those 'selfish genes'!
