Plants We Used To Use 258. Lesser celandine
Although raw Lesser celandine (Ranunculus ficaria) is toxic, its bulbs or tubers can be cooked and eaten as a starchy vegetable. Young stems and leaves can also be cooked and added to salads. Extracts of this plant have also been directly applied to the skin, to stop bleeding wounds and gums.
