This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. Plants We Used To Use 255. Lesser burdock
Lesser burdock (Arctium minus) roots, can be roasted like parsnips or sliced into a stir fry. The stems of younger plants, can also be eaten until they get woody. Infusions or external washes made from Lesser burdock, have been used to treat herpes; eczema, acne and ringworm.
