This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. Plants We Used To Use 261. Lesser periwinkle
Lesser periwinkle (Vinca minor) is an astringent herb. It was thought to increase blood flow to the brain, improving cognitive function. Lesser periwinkle has also been used to alleviate depression, as well as to 'cure' tinnitus and minor menopausal symptoms.
