Short Back and Sides?

To maximise wild flowers and their insect pollinators, it has been suggested that lawns should only be cut once every 4 weeks, along with some adjacent areas that are left longer (https://www.theguardian.com/science/2020/jun/16/plantlife-one-man-went-to-mow-but-maybe-he-should-wait). This sounds like excellent advice to me. Too frequent cutting essentially generates grassy 'deserts'.
