Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. Gone Fishing: Fishing Gone
The International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has placed a quarter of the Earth's freshwater fish on its 'red list' (https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/dec/11/quarter-of-worlds-freshwater-fish-at-risk-of-extinction-age-of-extinction-aoe). Species on an IUCN 'red list' are at serious risk of early extinction. The predictable challenges for these species are listed as global heating (reducing the oxygen content of water); overfishing and pollution. Collectively, humans!
