Plants We Used To Use 222. Himalayan balsam

In its native India, Himalayan balsam (Impatiens glandulifera) is sometimes added to curries. The plant's flowers can enliven salads. They also colour drinks, including gin and lemonade. Balsam's leaves soothe burns and its seeds are a diuretic.
