Going To the Dogs!

The creation of the world-wide-web was supposed to bring in a 'golden age' of science desemination to the masses. It seems to have actually had the opposite effect- bringing nonsense to a town near you! Thirty-seven percent of US dog owners, reportedly fear that vaccines could give their pet neurological problems, including the equivalent of autism (https://arstechnica.com/health/2023/08/dog-autism-37-of-us-dog-owners-buy-into-anti-vaccine-nonsense/). The whole vaccine-autism link was based on a totally discredited (the medic involved was struck off in the UK) human 'study'. He now makes a new living, peddling anti-vaccine stories. There's money in them thare ignorance hills! It would be interesting to see what dog autism looks like. Pet owners can be assured, however, that rabies and distemper will give them and their animals much more serious problems.

Just a thought but could some US dog owners just be using this as an excuse not to pay for the cost of vaccines?
