Norwegians Would?

The Norwegian Road Federation has revealed that, in 2020, the sales of fully electric (as opposed petrol, diesel and hydrid powered alternatives) cars accounted for almost 54% of vehicle purchases (https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/jan/05/electric-cars-record-market-share-norway). This was an increase on, the still healthy, 42% seen in 2019 making that country the first to have electric account for more than half its car sales. In terms of purchasing, Volkswagen is out-performing Tesla. One of the reasons for the popularity of electric cars is that Norway exempts them from any of the taxes imposed on vehicles powered in other ways. Norway, is in the happy situation of getting much of its electricity from hydroelectric and wind power, but it would be nice (from an environmental viewpoint) to see them also cut back on oil and gas exports. There is not much point in being 'green' at home, if you export the causes of global warming.
