Degraded?
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Myalgic encephalomyelitis is a long-lasting debilitating condition, sometimes seen after a viral infection. The UK's NICE have just removed using Graded Exercise Therapy as a treatment for
this ailment (https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/oct/29/health-watchdog-nice-publishes-delayed-me-guidance). In Graded Exercise Therapy patients used to be encouraged to gradually but progressively increase levels of exercise.
