This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. The material should help participants in field-based modules and people generally interested in the natural world. The views are wholly those of the author.

Seeing the Changes 1542
Well into October and many flowers on my Loughor to Penclacwydd 'jog'. They included, White clover (Trifolium repens); Water mint (Mentha aquatica); Scarlet pimpernel (Anagalis arvensis); Red clover (Trifolium pratense); Red campion (Silene dioica); Meadow buttercup (Ranunculus acris); Hedge bindweed (Calystegia sepium); Few-leaved hawkweed (Hieracium murorum); Daisy (Bellis perennis) and Common ragwort (Senecio jacabaea). There were also numbers of Small white butterflies (Artiogeia rapae) zooming about.
