Covid-19 Emissions Drop: A Blip?

 

It's hardly remarkable but the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown related reduction in emissions will not have anything like a lasting effect on climate change (https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/aug/07/covid-19-lockdown-will-have-negligible-impact-on-climate-crisis-study). There is essentially, another big challenge waiting for us 'in the wings' that will need an awful lot of international cooperation for us to get anywhere near a solution. Protectionist governments are not likely to help this process.
