A Food Allergy With a Vegan Focus?

The incidence of Pollen Food Syndrome (PFS) seems to be rocketing in the UK (https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/may/11/vegetarian-and-vegan-diets-linked-to-uk-rise-in-raw-food-allergy). PFS is a food allergy posing a particular risk to vegans and vegetarians. It is usually triggered by eating raw nuts, fruit and vegetables. It can also be prompted by foods popular with folk, who want to avoid animal products. Suspect items include soya milk, avocados, jackfruit, edamame beans and smoothies. There is, of course, a predictable link to hayfever and 13 million UK residents have this pollen allergy. Is there nothing on which we can safely graze?
