This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. The material should help participants in field-based modules and people generally interested in the natural world. The views are wholly those of the author.

London Psychedelics?
London's Clerkenwell Health will have a focus on the therapeutic uses of fungally-derived psychedelic drugs (https://www.theguardian.com/science/2022/may/09/europes-first-psychedelic-drug-trial-firm-to-open-in-london). Its first trial will look at psilocybin's (from 'magic mushrooms') potential use, in relieving anxiety associated with terminal illness and end-of-life care. That seems relatively uncontentious. Clerkenwell Health might have more problems, if they intend using psychedelics, to make 'well' people 'happy'?
