This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. Plants We Used to Use 482. White rock-rose
Resin from White rock-rose (Helianthemum appenninum) leaves and stems, has been used to flavour baked goods; ice cream and chewing gum. This plant also makes a herbal 'tea'. Medically, White rock-rose is claimed to have anti-inflammatory; analgesic and astringent properties.
