Plants We Used to Use 497. Wild strawberry

Leaves; flowers and fruit of Wild strawberry (Fragaria vesca) are all edible. Fruit juice, mixed with water, was used to bathe reddened eyes. It was also squeezed into inflamed sores, to facilitate healing. This juice is also said to relieve sunburn. A 'tea' from the dried leaves was used for kidney and stomach troubles.
