Plants We Used To Use 78. Blue lettuce

There are a number of Blue lettuce species, including Lactua perennis. Young leaves of some are eaten raw or cooked by North American tribes. They are, however, mildly narcotic. The same folk, use a root decoction to treat pain, vomiting, diarhoea and heart trouble.
