This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. The material should help participants in field-based modules and people generally interested in the natural world. The views are wholly those of the author.

Irish Deafness
The Irish airline, Ryanair is delisting from the London Stock Exchange, apparently so that EU shareholders will control voting in the company. This will be a requirement under Brexit (https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/nov/01/ryanair-profit-cut-winter-ticket-prices-loss-covid). The 'no frills' company has been 'full to the gills' with UK passengers, since that country relaxed its controls on foreign travel. In spite of Cop26, Ryanair intends to carry 225 million passengers a year by 2026. It's to be hoped that any emissions related to UK passengers will be correctly credited to that country rather than Ireland/the EU.
