This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. Plants We Used To Use 313. Musk mallow
Musk mallow (Malva moschata) leaves can be added to salads. This plant's seeds make a snack and a 'tea' concocted from roots; flowers and leaves. Musk mallow leaves and flowers can also be fashioned into a poultice for bruises; inflammations and insect bites. Oral preparations were used for respiratory diseases or inflammation of digestive and urinary systems.
