Plants We Used to Use 337. Prickly lettuce

Young leaves of Prickly lettuce (Lactuca serriola) can be eaten raw in salads or cooked. This plant's young shoots are used as an asparagus substitute. Herbally, this plant has had many applications including as a sedative, expectorant, cough suppressant etc.
