Plants We Used to Use 339. Primrose

Primrose (Primula vulgaris) flowers and leaves are edible in salads. Leaves can also be cooked in soups or used to make a 'tea' whereas young flowers make primrose wine. In the past, the roots were believed to be analgesic; anti-spasmodic; diuretic and an expectorant. It was especially used for colds.
