This blog may help people explore some of the 'hidden' issues involved in certain media treatments of environmental and scientific issues. Using personal digital images, it's also intended to emphasise seasonal (and other) changes in natural history of the Swansea (South Wales) area. Plants We Used To Use 310. Mountain pennycress
Mountain pennycress (Thlapsi montanum) seeds and leaves can be a spicy and peppery addition to dishes. The seeds contain edible oils and fatty acids. Herbally, this plant was used to treat carbuncles; acute appendicitis; dysmenorrhoea and endometriosis. Pennycress may also have potential as a biofuel.
