Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) is administered nowadays as an extract or herbal 'tea'. It was used for colds; bronchitis; upset stomach; heartburn; peptic ulcers and joint disorders, including gout. Meadowsweet was said to increase urine flow and kill bladder germs.
