Can You Daily Dose-Away Dementia?

A recent US study of more than 2,200 over-65 year-olds, suggests that daily multivitamin and mineral supplements, reduce cognitive decline (https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/sep/14/daily-multi-vitamins-may-improve-brain-function-in-older-people-us-study). The study actually runs counter to several previous attempts to improve Alzheimer and Dementia symptoms with dietary supplements. The recent study indicates that the supplements were most effective in individuals with cardiovascular problems (a risk factor for dementia). The new study appears to have been appropriately-designed but is clearly too small to derive firm conclusions. It seems very unlikely that dietary supplements can 'cure' complex neurological disorders. Having, however, appropriate (not too low or too high) daily intakes of vitamins and minerals, can't hurt brain function?
