Michaelmas daisy (Aster nova-belgii) flowers are edible, being used to decorate food. Although they have a bitter taste, the young leaves can be cooked. They contain A; C and some of the B complex vitamins. These leaves are also rich in potassium, as well as havng calcium; iron and phosphorus
