Plants We Used to Use 449. Thrift

Thrift (Armeria maritima) leaves can be cooked and used as a slimming aid. This plant's roots were sliced, before being boiled in milk, to 'cure' tuberculosis. Dried flowers were used to treat obesity; some nervous disorders and urinary infections.
